Can I miss any days of yoga teacher training?
To receive your certificate of completion, you must attend 100% of the classes to comply with the Yoga Alliance requirements.
But if you do have to miss, and getting a certificate of completion per Yoga Alliance standards is not your WHY for Yoga School, you're fine. You can jump back in and resume your Yoga School experience with us.
Are you a Yoga Alliance Registered School?
Super Yoga Palace is a Yoga Alliance Registered School in good standing.
Are books and materials and retreat included in the price of the training?
Sure is!
When will I find out if I have been accepted into the program?
Upon receipt of your application, you will be contacted via e-mail within two weeks to let you know if you are officially accepted.
How much time is required for homework and other outside activities?
Homework typically takes 1-2 hours a week for home practice and/or in-person practice.
Why do I have to take Jessica's classes, and are they included in the tuition.
You are required to take 30 of Jessica's classes in 8 months. The classes she teaches at Super Yoga Palace are included in your tuition over 8 months. Different studios teach different ways. Jessica teaches Katonah Inspired Vinyasa & Restorative Yoga with a distinct emphasis compared to many studios in Dallas that teach a "Power Yoga," "Ashtanga" influenced style. The eight months requirement also allows Jessica to see your practice.
What should I look for in evaluating a Dallas Yoga Teacher Training Program?
I recommend you look for a teacher who speaks directly to you and who you resonate with. Very often, students seek out programs merely because of the training schedule but just like yoga classes at one yoga studio are different from another, so too are yoga teacher training programs.
Will I be a certified yoga teacher?
There is no such thing as a "certified yoga teacher." There is a national organization called the Yoga Alliance" which "registers" teachers. You can register with the Yoga Alliance after receiving your certificate of completion.
Will I be able to teach after completing Yoga School?
Yes. By completing all of the requirements for The Super Yoga Palace Yoga School, you will receive your certificate of completion at the 200-Hour Level. You may also register with the Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200, the minimum amount studios, gyms, and others look for when hiring yoga teachers.
What is the ROI (return on investment)?
Yoga instructors can earn anywhere from $20 to $50 per class. This pay scale will vary based on where you are hired to teach. Smaller gyms like the YMCA are one of the lowest paying but, in my early experience, one of the most rewarding, with great childcare perks for parents with young children.
Boutique studios and spas pay on the higher end. You can earn anywhere from $70-$150 per private client or small group client. You can also earn an average of $10-20 per student when hosting donation-based events.
You will recoup your investment in your first year as a yoga instructor with only one $35 class per week and one $70 private small group or client per month.
